The following presents the Core Values of Word Family Church. We desire that they define and drive this ministry to fulfill God's vision and purpose. "We are a Word of Faith, Value-Driven, Ministry"
Our purpose is to teach a lifestyle of faith that is pleasing to God. (Heb 11:6; Heb 11:1; 1 John 5:4,5)
We believe the Bible is God's inspired Word; that faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God; that the truth of God's Word will make you free. (2 Tim 3:16; Rom 10:17; John 8:32)
Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. (James 1:22 NIV)
The Spirit Within
The Spirit Upon
We desire to fulfill Christ's Great Commission to 'make disciples'. (Matt 28:19,20; Acts 1:8). The mission of our church is to make disciples - moving people from pre-birth to maturity.
Jesus said, "My house shall be called a house of prayer". (Matt 21:13) Because Jesus puts value on prayer, so do we.
Prayer brings us into close fellowship with the Father, and makes tremendous power available, dynamic in its working. (James 5:16 AMP)
We believe that those called of God with leadership gifts should lead churches. (Eph 4:11; Gal 1:1; Titus 1:5; Acts 14:23; 1 Cor 12:28)
God works through people and each person is unique and vital to God's plan. Serving allows you the opportunity to utilize and develop your gifts and talents for Christ. (Eph 4:16; Matt 25:14-30)
Your attitude must be like My own, for I, the Messiah, did not come to be served, but to serve (Matt 20:28 LB)
Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might (Eccl 9:10)
We are committed to create a family environment where people are loved, have a sense of belonging, and the opportunity to develop and nurture relationships. (Rom 12:10 AMP; 1 Cor 13:4-8 AMP; Eph 2:19; Eph 3:14,15 AMP; I Cor 12:27)
1. Sunday Services (large group meetings)
The anointing on the pastoral gift, and teaching of God's Word, will transform lives and cause spiritual growth. (Eph 4:11-15; 1 Pet 2:2)
Jesus set the example for us:
...and as His custom was, He went into the synagogue (church) on the Sabbath day, and stood up to read (Matt 4:16).
The Bible instructs us not to forsake the assembling of ourselves together which is the habit of some believers, but to encourage one another in fellowship. (Heb 10:25; Acts 2:42; John 8:31)
2. Cell Group Meetings (small group meetings)
A cell group is a group which provides care, outreach opportunities, discipleship,
serving & leadership opportunities. (Acts 2:46-47; Acts 20:20; Acts
28:30-31)
The community talks about 'that church', the crowd talks about 'this church', but partners talk about 'our church'. Partners have a sense of ownership. The Christian life involves more than just believing, it also includes belonging. (1 Cor 12:18,27; Rom 12:4,5 AMP)
For us to be one in vision, one in purpose, one in language, unity is imperative to accomplish God's mission for our church.
But I urge and entreat you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you be in perfect harmony and full of agreement in what you say, and that there be no dissension's or factions or divisions among you, but that you be perfectly UNITED in your common understanding and in your opinions and judgments (1 Cor 1:10 AMP).
And the whole earth was of one language and of one accent and mode of expression. And the Lord said, Behold, they are one people and they have all one language and this is only the beginning of what they will do, and now nothing they have imagined they can do will be impossible for them (Gen 11: 1,6).
Since God gave His best (the Savior) we seek to honour Him by maintaining a high standard of excellence in all our ministries and activities. (Col 3:23,24)
The quality of each person's work will be seen when the day of Christ exposes it (1 Cor 3:13 GNB).
